i need to get to the back of the motor and was told i could disconnect upper mount and the motor will roll forward… but it aint working… help?!
Detach the front top motor mounts, attach a come along to the bracket used to lower the engine into the car. Attach other end to something strong and stationary. Crank. Engine will rotate forward.
At least thats what I did on my Celebrity.
The mounts are dogbone looking dealies.
but for real though. 3.4 or 3400
if its a 3.4 and your going for the plugs just move the seal on the firewall and bend back the metal. Other wise yea pop the dogbone out. They make a tool thats pretty cheap. I have a z34 with this motor as well as another 3.4 sitting on my porch.
What car and what year, the 3400 and the 3.4 are two totally different motors.
