How do you wake up in the morning?

end of the week seems to be such a struggle for motivation to get to work.

past couple days were easier since it wasn’t so god damn cold.

ugh, I fucking hate waking up when it’s super cold

I do this, this is just me. I start work @ 6, but because it’s near the airport and i live “in” angola, i’ve gotta get up at 4. So to keep myself from dragging ass and missing work, I set the alarm for 3am. Yes. Then i put the alarmclock on the other side of the room, to prevent from snooze and sleep.

When that annoying buzzer hits (the radio/white noise will just put me right back to sleep) i climb out of bed just to turn it off, set it to 4am, then turn the alarm back on. And i go back to sleep.

and hour later, i’m up, alot more awake then if i just set it for 4, and 2 mins after that i’m in the shower.

Doesnt hurt tho that the moment i get to work until 8 i can nap it up.

That’s because you’re not waking up out of REM sleep.

And if you’re planning on staying at that job, move. Jesus that’s early.

i know, but this IS buffalo/Western new york. I need a job over 10 an hour, and there’s TWC and the job i’m at now, and TWC doesnt like me very much.

But the hour out of rem sleep does help out alot- seriously reccomend it

I meant move where you live. Not move jobs.

The hour out of REM sleep helps with waking up, but REM is what your body uses to repair and rejeuvenate itself. Losing an extra hour of it may be hurting you more long-term.

move where i work? expensive. because i dont make what i used to @ adelphia, im still working on getting out of the hole i dug myself into financially, that and everything but work is where i’m at now, family, girl etc. So right now shit’s kinda odd.

and as new-age and hippy-ish and it sounds, a little meditation(where you can go into rem sleep) or just takin a nap after’s been working fine so far: just gotta get the weight off from sitting at a desk all day, that could prevent me from feeling like a sloth all day

The earlier I need to wake up the easier it is for me to just get out of bed.

But when I have a late class I can’t get out of bed. It’s sad and may have something to do with my 2am bedtime.
