looking for a cheap chea muffler new/used anything good and a cat as well for my 200sx ( I just want the car running rite now,. soo I dun wnat to spend alot for a 500 dollar car )
poeple told me cherry bomb from crappy tire… (the red pipe muffler) is good. it’s stright thru and it doens’t ccreate back pressure <-- good for turbo
but then I’ve been told it’s loud and annoying,.

Want to feel a difference in performance, get an exhaust system. Want to hear a difference in sound, get a muffler.
Cherry Bomb’s sound like ass.
just get like a plain magnaflow muffler if you need to replace it.
well I also need to do the piping as well . soo basically the hole new exhaust…
I figure that it’ll be cheaper for me if I source the cat and muffler and then get someone to do the pipes cheaper or something. aiming for 2.5 pips for my turbo
well if you are on a budget you might be able to buy some knock-off canister/resonator and get something welded up from mild steel. The other option may be something like the megan racing exhaust. Full SS and cheap to boot.
SS Autochrome exhaust off ebay, its like 150 us or somthing and good quality stainless
^^^ I say that’s a much better option than a cherrybomb. Plus unless you have rusted out '81 Firebird the cherry bomb seems a little…well domestic :roll:

Also, it’s not overly attention-grabbing, with dual 2" tips similar to stock.
Ughh, when i first bought my s13 it came with a cherry bomb as a muffler… held with coat hangers…If you dont care about the sound, grab it. it will be fine for your turbo…
But god dang, there disgustingly loud and annoying I took mine off right away.
I think the cherry bomb mufflers are like the only mufflers available that can make your car sound like a honda civic that’s about to fall apart.

i just installed cherry bomb stuff today and its not loud at all cept off the line till about 3 grand its a little buzzy…i have a muffler muffler too though…in fact its quieter than stock over 4000 rpm

Are you going to do the piping yourself? or have a shop do it? if so make sure you get a quote first, you might be surprised how much its gonna run you, even with a cheap ass muffler, in the end you might think to yourself, i might be a good idea to guy something a little better cause the rice might not be all that much more…

youre planning on going turbo? but looking at a cheap ass exhaust? wow dude work an extra week and go with quality, dont cheap out !! an extra $150 and youre looking at a descent exhaust system.

this exhaust is for a 200sx… it’s already turboed…
and… I don’t think bing’s S13 exhaust is going to work…
I have the money… it’s just that I want this car to run… but sound a little better… and basically try to get rid of the lopping piping the 200sx has on the car… which I find is rediculous!
and plus… there are ZEROOOOOOO after market exhaust for the S12… I checked w/ Preformance Improvments in scarborough… even talked to the manager which he even built up an 84 200sx w/ a SR20DE in it…

Just by a Magnaflow or Flowmaster as was mentioned earlier and have a shop weld up a custom catback for you. It shouldn’t cost anymore than $500.
goodness of cherry bomb is low. However, the review shows goodness of real exhaust high.
