Yeah Justin is pretty sure he’s in trouble because of the class he ended up in, but he doesn’t expect to be quicker then anything.
He just wants to get the experience, which for the first 2 years, makes sense.
There is something to be said about an extremely balanced vehicle… a car that can’t be built around a powerplant, needs a powerplant that suits the car in order to be balanced
Your approach seems to be the latter. I think you’ll be dangerous when it’s complete.
yeah i think justin would be better off starting in a s13 or s14
that skyline is gonna be a land pig…that will be very hard on brakes, and hard to drive as a starter car…
guess we will see when the first races start …hopefully he just gets his feet wet and gets some seat time …as that will go along way

I was thinking about entering my Z instead, but when I did the PIP stuff I ended up in SGT1 anyway (GTR is in SGT3 I think).
I am going to submit my dyno plot and possibly a race weight so I can get take down at least one class.
The way I learn is by being thrown in the deep end without knowing how to swim so to speak, I hope it doesn’t fail me this time.
Hopefully I’ll be able to take advantage of the fact that only your top 6 events are used towards your championship ranking. (Crosses fingers I hope I can get BETTER in 3 races - not great, just improved)
I definately need some R-Compounds, Dave B. was telling me that he shaved off 2 seconds on one of the slower tracks just with the new tyres.
Anyway, Adam will you be out this year for Solo? I know your KA-T 240 is on the back burner for it’s future plans, do you have anything else you will be using?
yeah i have 2 240sx’s
one is my red turbo KAT, and the other one is a black NA one that i will be racing this year in GT4 class.
yeah STG3 is a killer class, and STG1 is where my turbo 240sx is classed… very fast cars there and alot of vetran drivers…
I wanted to just get a full race season in this year so will be in GT4, the car should do well, as it will have full race suspension and will be set up well.
RE: R tires… 100% you need them to be competitive… i would put some 16x 8 with 245’s on the skyline…i think that would be a fast set up…or if you can fit 275’s that would be great too…
but yeah justin…use this first year as a learning experiance, and get your feet wet. If you can do well in this series you can do well in any race series since the compitition is very good, and there are some very fast very well prepared cars that come out.

I feel like a little kid attaching myself to him like a leech but he seems to be the only person I know in Solo 1 (hoping to change that), and so far has acted as my ambassador. :oops:
yeah dave will be there as well, i think his club is organizing the school, we will be camping out there friday and saturday nights if you want to come and camp… dress warm and for rain as well
you will have a blast at the school the DDT is a very fun track, you will meet tons of people no worries about that…
bring some extra brake fluid and get good pads…in case you have to bleed your brakes at the track… since thats the most common type of failure
