I’m running 12psi, vacuum lines straight to waste gate, no boost controller. The only way I can run less boost is to make a home made boost leak or port the wastegate, or find a weaker actuator spring
Fuel pump, fuel filter, side mount. Of all the cars I’ve owned, this SR20 consumes absolutely no oil. The dipstick level is the same from oil fill to next oil change
ahahah yes thats right!
picked up a 92 w/ sr20 for 5,500 yesterday
runs great…i just need a boost controller cuz right now
im only running 7psi…when i baught it off teh guy i asked what he ran it at
and hes like i ran it at 7psi which is stock its whole life…didnt you guys say
10 psi is stock boost? lol
i’ve driven my SR for a year now almost everyday (but parking it this winter),regular oil changes at 4k, done a timing chain kit and all front seals/rings, never had a problem.(cept for cracked megan mani ) Driven to Edmonton numerous times and to Vancouver.
i run my stock sr motor at 12- 13 psi with the disco potato all the time with no problems…i gunna try and dyno it at subracing on the 28th, no idea wut numbers i’m expecting. hoping atleast 270hp…
I was running mine (before it was stolen) at 12 to 14 psi with a little (2 to 3 psi) spiking due to long boost controller lines. If the spiking went above 17 or 18 psi I would get some minor pining in the transition between 3500 and 4000.
This was on 91 oct, stock redtop turbo, small (18 x 12 ish) FMIC, stock injectors, 255 lph pump … with no problems (except cheap tubular headers cracking on bi-monthly basis)
yeahhh 325 miles??..hmmm :o[/quote]
Its called it running correctly. 520km should be about right if you keep your foot off the go pedal. Most i ever got in the KA was 540 City/freeway.
yeahh i’ve been usually getting around 400-450 ish… i hit the 500 mark once… my first tank of gas when i finished my swap!!.. mehh… to sum it up the motor’s reliable n decent on gas as long as u dont bag it… kinda the same as anything else
