How the Big Boys Roll...

let me kno when your not too busy and i will stop by, i want to see the progress  plus i have to talk to Jay about some axels and a new dif… this spool has to go

well, if you want to bring me lunch during the week, ill go back and show ya

i was gona call this weekend, but i was (at times) on a roll, and wanted to keep going. if i do anything during the week, ill be prepping my engine. otherwise it’ll be the weekend again, but ill let ya know

this car is gonna be slow and gay.

especially when i powder coat all your shit hot pink

lol. that reminds me. lmk when i can use the blaster. ill buy ya a bag of media. need to do valve covers, and some other little shit i can’t think of.

if your car breaks for whatever reason i get to borrow your rearend/slicks for a weekend. if my car breaks you can hookup my turbo shit. (now that would be BA. my drivetrain in your car. 1100rwhp in a 2700lb, narrowed rear, big tire, big stall car. tim allen ARGHH ARGHH ARGHH)

sounds good Bill

was going to save all the pictures for a DIY thread when all said and done, but what the hell. i have a few engine preview pics. this is all i’ll show for now. no turbo build pics until done

nice clean work area:

little crosshatch action compliments of mcquillens (block not yet final cleaned):

ceramic and friction coatings compliments of jnj:

ohhh boy, its coming together

when do u think itll be all done?

ehh… well… lol

only have weekends to work on it… and im going to daytona next weekend for 5 days, and then to the bahamas 2.5 weeks later…

the shortblock should be done in 1.5 weeks, the rest is cake

turbo setup should be done being designed, hopefully, by the time i leave for the bahamas. im having vitez TIG everything because i want it to be top notch. hopefully by the time i get back from that vaca, i can send everything out to jet hot. but then i need to weld in a rad support, finalize the rad positioning, make a nice fan shroud, mount fans, route and fab all the coolant lines, mount and run oil cooler setup, tig some stuff on the oil pan, finish the top half of the engine, make a different mount for the alternator, strip and paint engine bay, make the rest of the exhaust including cutout, do all the rest of the 0123-91342 odds and ends, prep the K with the engine, trans, etc, install without marking up new paint, install front steering and suspension, allignment, tune, etc etc.

aww FUCK. you got me in a bad mood again. lol :frowning:

to answer your question, im shooting to have kinks worked out before may. i need to start cranking and stop wasting time.

goodnight

blah blah blah. <3 u bill

This just looks like so much fun.

no more paradise –> gordy’s –> flatterys –> casino until 7am with chokes. really puts a damper on the progress to turbo car

Look good Bill! …

Now get off the computer and get some fucking work done! :stuck_out_tongue:

how much did the caotings set you back.

a few weeks :stuck_out_tongue:

to be honest i dont know. jay did them. all it takes is some masking, a clean aluminum media and a blasting cabinet, some cleaning and remasking, and a spray gun. spray them, and plop them in the oven

i dont know how much the coating material cost

I was linked to a coating company on shoforum but it is like 48 or 53 a piston or something. I just want it to work. Changing pistons in my car is a bitch.

i need to get my ass out of olean and get up there and use the damn tools i have there and help you work on that thing, i would have liked to get there today but the stupid weather put a little damper on it

nice bill thats gotta be exciting seeing stuff come together  cant wait to get mine!

gettin some work done? bout time!

 looks awesome man, gunna be a beaaaaaast!

clean workspaces make it just that much better
