Insert Description about brakes and how air effects them
what tools needed including the towel, bleeder valve wrenches, hose and a catcher, surgical wire or local parts store, turkey baster, new proper fluid
recommendation of using two people, good idea to change it yearly or if brown.
*pictures needed when I do my next cycle.
-
open up the reservoir you’re working on (back or front)
-
remove old fluid with a turkey baster and inspect the system
3)Have the friend pressure or by yourself pressure the system by pulling on the lever a dozen + times and holding the lever while you release the bleeder valve. When the lever goes as far as it can, close the bleeder valve and repeat until you start seeing clear fluid coming out. Periodically check on the master cylinder to make sure the fluid level is proper. If you run out of fluid in the master and let air get into the system, you’ve got a long road ahead of you to do this all over again with the air in the longest point possible.
-
make sure the master cylinder is clear of debris, inspect the diaphram for damage, cracks, replace if necessary. Fill up the master and close up.
-
move on to a caliper closer to the system. Right side if you’re working on the fronts.
