How to disable vvt on s14

Hey everyone I did a lot of searches and couldn’t find the answer.

So could anyone chime in on how to disable the vvt on a blacktop sr20det?

Reason is because it is awfully noisy, and I wanted to try to disconnect it to make sure that it is the source of the noise.

look for the sensor on the motor

You’ll lose a lot of low-mid torque though…
replace the vtc sprocket instead
