I need to send a chunk of money to someone. I want to make sure to cover my ass since I couldn’t find any references, the guy just changed his phone number, and he claims to have just opened a shop in Chicago which has no website nor anything online mentioning it…
long story short, how I do make sure paypal will refund my money if this goes bad? I can only seem to see my own “reputation” on paypal and not view anyone elses. What the hell is the point of that?
send me the money, and I’ll make sure he gets it. :hug
seriously though… when you type in his email and then click through, doesn’t it tell you like “verified premium member” & give the number there or some shit?
It’s hit or miss, I’ve filed disputes and received a refund within a day or two, and on the flipside I’ve had disputes filed against me (totally wasn’t my fault) and am still out $230 on the deal because paypal refunded the kid even though he received the product.
Paypal sucks, I only deal in money order/cashiers check now.
If it’s a boat load of cash (not $200), I’d personally do a certified bank check.
I only send boat loads via paypal if I know the person personally on the other end. I’m not an asshole so people generally treat me with respect because I treat them with as much. Never been screwed. Not saying anything about you or anyone in here, just saying.
I’d do a bank check though if this is a lot of money.
