How to tow a mullet - 95 GMC Yukon

I actually like the wheels/tires/stance

Nice, my old man was telling me about this Jay. Badass

LOL, Nick, the rims do look a little strange. I think they would be more suited for a drag car, but free is free  At least the tires are in great shape. They’re some form of Firestone 33x12.5 R15… not too shabby though. Quiet and they ride well.

I get a kick out of driving this thing because it looks so tall… until you pull up to one of the new truck and it’s actually shorter than them! All in all, I agree with Ben, the setup looks good. I think the stipes are going to take a hike though…

Yeah, when I “ran into” KK the other day your old man and I were talking about his new whip and how these things, due to the tailgate, are nearly impossible to unload because you can’t reach in them!

So, I have a little update. I went over to our new shop location :ninja, and threw it up on the lift. This truck is in excellent shape. It’s obviously a little rusty, a little leaking, and 20 years old… but it’s all there with the exception of the passenger rocker in the rear, which has a little hole in it. The only problem with the front suspension/steering is the idler they used in the drop assembly for the steering. The joints are shot, but that’s it!

SIDE NOTE: We finally got our new shop! Our new shop location will be at 103 Colubia Turnpike in East Greenbush - Probably won’t be open officially until next month, but get ready! 4 Bays, huge workshop area, 3 2-post lifts, nice waiting area, we WILL be doing alignments for lowered/lifted/slammed/stanced cars :excited, and we’ll be having a whole hell of a lot of fun there!

nice, congrats! i live right in rensselaer. i’ll have to stop by sometime to check the place out and introduce myself.

Thanks! We’re looking forward to getting up and running as quickly as possible. Most definitely stop by, I’ll be posting up more info on here when we get a better handle on a start date. Though, we’ll probably be there A LOT because there is tons of work to do!

That’s awesome news, when you’re done setting up and things calm down, i’ll be sure to visit.

Def looking forward to seeing everyone again. I loved having Gearhead, this is the permanent revival of that venture. This time with some more force and manpower

So back on topic, I put some new rear door handles in this pig last night because some tool tried to rip one of them out… leaving half of it in the door. You can’t rip them out because they’re riveted in… Tools. Next is to add a radio back into this thing… it’s really lonely in this thing without a radio.

Customer waiting area got a cleaning, and the Yukon got a radio, a couple ladders, paint, drops, rollers, brushes, a brown guy, a russian, and a confused Nisky cop last night - ROFL!

Cool truck. Amazing that thing thing was prolly 40k+ when new and can be had on the cheap cheap now. Wish gas wasn’t so expensive, I’ve been jonesing for an old school daily truck build.

Yeah, this was was worth a song compared to the sticker when it was new. I still have the sticker for it and it was rated at 11 and 14 MPG… Simply Stunning. I can’t imagine driving this thing daily and not having to worry about filling it up! Once our new shop is up and running, this will most definitely get the Cummins swap.

I’ll have to grab a pic of the window sticker too. Talk about a different time…

HOLY FUCK. can’t believe that was the rating for one…talk about unreal. I was thinking maybe 14 and 17 hahaha

This thing is a rolling conference room!

that was back when gas was around a buck a gallon so mpg didnt matter that much.

Care to assist in installing my wrap arround seating and cherry wood table in the rear of this for better meetings?

very nice. i’ve always wanted one of those… hard to find for a decent price in decent shape. that ones a keeper.

Thanks!

I agree completely, this was hard to find. It took me a couple months to find. It wasn’t exactly what I was looking for, but was in pretty good shape so it worked out.

I also liked how this has the “updated” dashboard and interior with the old style body. Plus it has a 6" lift (which puts it up to about where most newer trucks sit) and a class III hitch, wiring, and brake controller. This will work out nicely for the new business venture.

My buddy did a 6BT swap in a 3500 and it fits fine length wise. Engine compartment really isn’t smaller than a dodge except height. He needed to raise the cab 6" and raise the bed to match. Your burban body obviously doesn’t have a bed…
