If you saw 2 plates, you’d know it had backing plates, and not just the plates that go in the inside of the floor. You’re supposed to sandwich the car between the plates. They are also supposed to be offset so that they are less likely to split at the seam.

I am still surprised it crushed the roof like that. Too bad I can’t see how my car would hold up to such an endeavor. I am curious for worst case scenario’s sake.
