That thing looks really unsafe. For the track or street.
blah blah blah dont care… i personally dont know anyone that died with a bolt in cage… and i dont expect to roll the car over any time soon… we all heard it before but whatever
reminded me of his friend with this car:
please note:
lack of passenger seat, i guess he doesn’t need room for an instructor since he doesn’t track the car
aluminum tow hook powder coated gloss black
subframe brace without a sway bar
only 40 more hp than stock even though he spent probably over $15k on the engine alone
:headbang
ear muffs since its so damn loud hes afraid of loosing hearing
No? :wtf It is what it is, It’s high dollar, and I’m sure it’s pretty quick (made 62whp over stock, not 40 btw 226-164=62) but I’m sure it’s a show winner and a magazine feature.
Fact is, with my helmet contacts the inner side of the targa top where the handle is the entire time i drive (no bumping it when i turn or something) With 2.5" of shitty tubing in between that targa and where your head goes I don’t understand how they dont end up with a concussion just from taking a right turn.
I dont care if you think the quality of that cage is good (if it is a safety 21 cage) it is designed poorly in terms of safety in a roll over, driver safety when its not rolling over, and chassis stiffness. I my mind that makes it a really shitty cage even if its only for show.
oh wait, I forgot he chromed it. I guess that makes it the coolest cage I’ve ever seen.
i agree with you, i was just saying it might be a saftey 21 cage cause there cages styled are identical to cusco since they are made by the same people, but are of a better quality. that cage has death written all over it if your not in the car all the time with a helmet, or a midget. and if he drives around with out a helmet on hes an idiot for not having padding. most of honda-tech is just hard parkers so who really cares. i say let them do what they want, at least you have fun with your car.
