The impact of this storm across nearly the entire east coast is why it’s getting so much media coverage. When’s the last time any hurricane came through such a huge portion of the eastern US?
my gf flew into cuba when it was a category 3 and directly over the airport
Like a Boss.
For ref, this is route 1 about 35 minutes from my house.
Talked to a couple people back in Vermont, and there is a lot of flooding issues and bridges getting washed out. I have a friend stuck on killington mountain with no way to get down.
LOL @ saying Obama is trying to go away from the economy topic… well he did inherit that debt and downhill economy from bush… maybe you guys should consider changing the budget for your military? might help LOL
anyways back to the flood.:
IN A CARRRR FLOATING DOWN THE RIVER!
The company i work for apparently uses more electricity than the whole city of niagara falls. The ny power authority paid us 20k per hour to shutdown today. I guess they put some reactors on low load on 5 mile island and there isnt enough power to run NYC.

^ Someone might want to move that cop car.
Just started reading the power outage notices and fiber down notices looks like Portland Maine and even up by Albany got hammered.
My sister said even in Rochester the sand is blowing and the waves are crashing pretty bad from lake Ontario.
Rutland (^right by those Route 4 pictures and my home town) is completely cut off because of the flooding and washouts, no way in and no way out.
if you search “Rutland Herald” on facebook locals are uploading a ton of pictures
I was in Harrisburg/Hershey PA and we caught the tail end of it overnight last night. Bunch of NYC/NJ evacuees at our hotel. Crazy wind and sideways rain, was dodging tree shit down everywhere all over the roads coming back from the bar, and lost power at the hotel all night. Still out when we left at 11am today.
20 dead so far.
Sounds like the areas that were worst hit were the ones that the news didn’t hype up at all. Vermont looks like it’s getting really fucked up.
^ Now I’m really curious if they moved the car in time or not.
I think I see a vehicle in wreckage lol
