i don't drink beer so don't know but would this actually work??

Beer keg
Metal play: Stainless steel
Price: $50-$60
How they get it: Pay a $10 deposit, drink the beer, then sell for scrap.
Worth it?: Don’t forget the tap rental fee (usually $30) when pricing out the scam.

the deposit in NYS is $75, so not here

^^ speaks the truth

you don’t drink beer?!

Haha, I love that CNN page.

It’s basically telling you if it’s worth it to roll thru the neighborhood stealing shit for black-market money.

go to PA, deposit is dirt cheap there

yea its ten bucks, dont even bother returning them after parties

wouldn’t surprise me that scumbags are doing this

instead of ditching old radiators and condensers etc, take them in for scrap money. I think copper is fetching at least $2.75/lb right now… Brass and aluminum are around $1/lb

I dont know anyone here that rents taps out anymore. you have to buy them.

usually when a place is shut down ill go in and fetch sum free copper.

I heard on CNN the other day that beer companies are trying to get metal recyclers to stop accepting kegs just so the beer companies dont have to jack up the deposit.

consumers

Yep, a lot of breweries are having problems running out of kegs because they’re getting sold for scrap.

old aluminum wheels are good for scrap

consumers def still rents out taps, and the deposit on the keg I just had was $85

i like the manhole idea
