Well Wedsday at work I got this Idea to buy a street bike. I went and looked at a few of them. But Today at 4:12pm I bought a RED Honda CBR6000RR for 9,228$ out the door with tax title a helmet and gloves. I cant pick the bike up till monday because its not been inspected yet. Ill put up some pics when I bring it home. The tilte is alreay in my name and my full covrage insurance is only 200 some a month…

since brand new (2004) i have had full coverage on my zx6r for less tahn 65 a month…
if u dont have a car with them its more and goes up to 120 a month…

Really? My car insurance is threw travlers and they dont have motorcycle policys. So i got it threw progressive? Should I change it all over?
Check State Farm…sometimes they’re good for bikes and boats

I have my cars through State Farm, but Progressive was better with the bike.
haha… quite lucky imho… i pay 135 a month for liability only… but that probably has to do with my age.

Progressive is horrible IMHO about bike insurance
with state farm its hard to beat them on the lower cc bikes…they get pricey as displacement goes up.
I think that the cc rating for insurance has changed. I know a few people that got bigger bikes 750cc + and pay less than if they would have bought a 600cc bike.
The biggest reason is that the 600s are affordable for the 20 somethings and there are SO many of them. There are also a ton of pay offs due to accidents etc.
Shop around for an insurance company that has a small customer base for that size of bike and that has not had alot of pay outs for claims and the insurance will be pretty low.
I priced insurance for a paid for XR650L street and trail and it was $65.00 for the entire year.
When I had nationwide who ever they go through for bike insurance was cheap when I was gonna get a ninja 636R. They quoted me at 11.38 a month for full coverage. That was a steal to me being 20 at the time.
