Bike insurance

I want a R1 or CBR1000RR more than anything. Or hell any kind of newer style bike, R6, doesn’t matter. I can’t get full cov. for any less than like $7,000 a year for a R6! Is anyone around 20, have a bike that they took a loan out for and have full cov. for a reasonable price? Im actually thinking about selling my car so that I can afford a bike.

worst idea ever?

you do realize you live in PA… do not sell your means of transportation for a bike that CANNOT be driven daily.

good luck with a litre bike on insurance being young. i will tell you this if you only get liablity. youre a complete dumbass. to many things can go wrong. hell a few weeks ago i hit a pole on my 04 1kRR and it was 1862 in damage. do you have that much in your pocket to fork out for new rims and tires? i dont think so. get full coverage worth every penny. also do yourself a favor and take the MSF so you can lower your insurance some. chances are if your record is bad insurance companies will give you high premiums. chances are at 20 getting a litre biek will be out of your league unless you get liablity then that is just dumb in my opinion. hell any bike you finace is dumb with only liablity

You mean u need insurance on your bike? I did not know that… hahaha

bikes are toys, not daily drivers.

get a cheap smaller bike for now and wait till you’re a little older and can afford to get a liter bike.

yo man I agree, errbody about gettin a 1k, get a 6 er 750 1000’s are just for dudes wit small penises… Dont matter wat u got its how u ride it…

i agree… don’t sell your car…

but gettin liability isn’t dumb… if he pays 7K a year, that’s 7 thousand f-ing dollars, no matter what… or he can pay 140 a year (like me) which i have a litrebike… that will eave him ohh… about 6860 per year to pay for any damages he MIGHT sustain… I think liability is fine, as long as you’re responsible with your motorcycle… insurance is so high b/c of idiots… if you think you’ll be stupid, dont get it in the first place, b/c more importantly that your bike getting fucked up, YOU could get fucked up!

maybe its more like… 600’s are for guys w/o balls…

seriously tho, i have no problem w/ a 600… but i don’t think that going with a litre bike is a horrendous idea… its all in how responsible you are w/ your right wrist.

Speakin of no balls… Aint this comin from a dude that rides a TL…> lmfao

umm… right :ugh2:

We couldn’t find full coverage for less than $3K when we were going to get a GXR600. (I think).

The girl I work with, her boyfriend got full coverage for like $300 a year, and I called his agent to see what the price would be and he said that he “wouldn’t be interested in giving me coverage”. Douchebag.

and what do you find wrong w/ a TLR?

heres my advice (wat i did) put the bike in your girls name/mom watever then insurance be cheaper…

i met a guy who dynoed his '02 R1 at 173 whp… gave him a ride on my bike… he told me that it and the RC51 he rode once (which both are v-twins) are so incredibly amazing… the torque and power they make throughout the entire powerband make them just as exciting and powerful as his bike… told me that his has to be above 6 or 7 K before it creates any real power…
So what can you find that is un-ballsy about my bike?

wait… i know… the numbers the magazines put out aren’t as impressive for my bike… i konw… i’m sorry… HA

Whoa… it has an R my bad… wat wrong wit a tlR well they heavy, slow, and a twin… those three things put together = slow turd

HAHA… yea sure… i’ll give you the heavy thing… its about 50 or 60 lbs heavier than a I4… slow - NO… twin = incredible power everywhere…

so shove it up ur ass

first off F’ magazines they just bullshit… second its the torque your buddy feelin not horsepower and a friend of mine has a tl and my geared up ( +15) 636 (its a stuntbike) is faster than his shit…

would you shut the fuck up already… come back when you arent as annoying

however talking about my “turd” is far :offtopic:

back to what the thread is supposed to be about… i think liability is awesome… and for a little bit more than the 140, you can get ‘additional pain and suffering’ coverage…

haha… yea :ugh2: :jerkit:
