Insurance questions, (what do you pay)

So, i’m about to make a move on a left over CBR 1000rr, but I’m getting quoted at about $1100 a year just for comprehensive w/ $1k deductible.
It’s only $250 for liability, but I live too close to mexico to go with out.

What type of insurance do you guys have and what do you pay a year? include your bike

I paid $109 for the year on the '03 600rr. That was just liability, though.

ugh, I’m so scared because I don’t have a garage down here, and I live on the border of Mexico…ugh

I pay $21.50 a month for full coverage on my 06 636 with progressive

wtf, i got quotes 2500 a yr for full coverage

You have quite a history… I can understand why. lol

plus bigger bike and likely higher risk living area. i think i remember being asked if my bikes would be garaged when i got my insurance, that will affect your rate as well.

i dont have much on my license, but I didn’t even put down any violations and thats what they quoted me

State farm was cheapest for me. Was paying $250 for full coverage on a 600rr. When you turn 25 the insurance goes way down!

Progressive is cheapest for me. $400/yr for everything except collision. Credit score hurts your premiums too.

$75 a month for full coverage. '08 600rr with Progressive.

How long have you been riding? What’s your age? How’s your Driving record? How’s your Credit?

How’s the neighborhood you live in?

All these influence your rate.

Interesting range of quotes here from Progressive. I was quoted a couple months back at roughly $600/year for full coverage on my '05 636. I’m stuck on the fence as to whether or not to put collision on it.

I don’t want to go way OT in this thread about it, but what do most people use for their limits/deductibles on liability, comp, collision, ect?

$40/month for full coverage through progressive

Progressive
Full coverage $500 deductible collision & comp
$250k/$500k liability
1000cc bike

$350 a year I pay

2008 1000RR

Progressive:

500 deductible full coverage = 434/year
500 deductible liability and comp = 181/year

I turn 25 this year so I can’t wait for my insurance to drop lol. I do have to call to get the homeowner discount…
