I hate Verizon

Mike…don’t even get me started. I started business phone service with them on 9/15/07. The first time my billing was correct was this most recent bill. The rest have been astronomical, and I have phone logs, contact information, and conversations to show that I have literally spent almost 50 hours over the course of 10 months trying to have things straightened out. They’re horrible. Seriously, the most horrible customer service experience I’ve had from any company by a factor of 10.

Oh yeah, and it took them 7 weeks from time of original order to have my DSL service on. Both buildings on either side of me already had their DSL, so it wasn’t a case of running wire.

<3 Verizon on both the wireless division and the business communications side. I’ve never had a problem, even a small one. Sprint on the other hand…

That’s too bad Mike. I PMed you the guy we deal with for Verizon at work, he may be able to help.

I am gonna go home and check my verizon landline bill…

I am ready to just cancel my cell phone through verizon. I pay 165 dollars a month for my phone.I get horrible customer service. I am also out a phone for a week until they can send me a new one. which I had to pay 50 buck for because my phone not charging is not covered under the warranty.

I had the EXACT same thing happen to me where they charged me for 1200 txt messages (when I paid extra for unlimited on my plan). when I asked for a printout of who they were sent to and when they were sent they said they would ONLY after I pay my ridiculous bill. I told them untill you show me proof of where I sent these 1200 text messages to I will not pay this bill.

Most cell companies have outside parties that do their insurance. If its a claim through them and out of warranty, they always need the phone sent to them. Also since its an outside company, you need to call them since verizon will know nothing about your claim. I was in the same boat with service and canceled and moved to ATT for a few reasons. Other than my fiasco to return my original phone and get the iPhone, I have never had problems with them

I got insurance on my phone through SquareTrade.com which guarantees a check to buy a phone or new phone within 5 days and that is the best I have seen.

My issue is with my last phone i was able to go to verizon and get it replaced there. now they are unable.

mike sorry about ur phone, but this is the best part about this thread.

We’ve got Road Runner for internet plus Vonage for our phone and fax lines now. It’s cheaper overall, faster internet service, and Vonage has some real nice features which are free. We’ll see how it goes in the long run, but it’s been 2 weeks and so far so good.

Agreed,

When we were open it was the same bullshit. There was times where I would be on hold for 45-60 minutes at a time just to get a fucking confirmation number. God forbid you hang up and not get verification that something was done because their system seems unable to record any information about your account whatsoever.

Verizon blows.

While we are all on the “Verizon Blows” wagon and on the topic of shitty companies in general… can I geta show of hands who hates UPS with a passion? They are the most arrogant and shady company I have ever dealt with. From “inventing” storms and “acts of god” to prevent having to pay back a gauranteed shipment, to shady dealings with their insurance coverage, to double and triple billing from different divisions… the list goes on.

Ya I had a phone break for no reason. The screen freaked out within a month of buying it. I brought it in and their tech center just gave me another one for free since there was no physical damage. I don’t understand why they wouldn’t replace insurance phones in store either since the tech support isn’t verizon employees either but just annoying shit like that confused me.

Thats why I use my own third party companies for warranties and insurance. SquareTrade.com my friend led me on to after I read about it on here. We were running down main street after the bars in Tonawanda one night and he slammed his iPhone onto the ground and shattered the screen. He got a check for a new one in 3 days so I was sold on it.

1yr warranty from original purchase date or phone, 3months on replacement, which ever warranty is greater is what is honored. outside of that if u have insurance its $50

and although vzw does hire 3rd party techs the phones and everyhting still come from vzw stock, the techs ARE fucking worthless tho.

I will cancel my verizon next week. I warrantied my pos phone and for the next five days I am phone less.I asked to activate my old phone they said for twenty dollars.I flipped out on the girl and asked for her manager.Iasked her to explain to me why I should have to pay twenty extra dollars to use the phone I pay 160.00dollars a month for.she had no answer but it is policy.fuck verizon I am a 6 year loyal customer and to them it means nothing

you should have called and tried to swap the ids. Usually they do it. I used to break a phone on verzion prolly every 2-3 months and I always had a backup to use when I waited for the replacement.

That is who told me of this charge.I did it online for free though.this phone is 3months old andy

go to a different store. esn change online. esn change over the phone.
