congrats
great job dude, the degree is a must in todays fucked up world…college will be the best 7 years of your life…oh, wait were not talking about me (tears well up)…anyway, congrats on U of R.
tea - up!
i know what it feels like! ive been getting letters left and right from the schools i applied to. feels awesome!
what did you apply to Cornell for? i may be going there for their veterinary school
I applied to Agriculture and Life sciences for Biological Science (neurobiology and behavior). It’s state subsidized, so I’d get tuition at $16,000/year. I don’t know if they offer scholarships. If it brought it down to $10k/year I would definitely consider going there.
I’m just having a rough time considering the amount of debt I’ll be in after school. Then I consider, well, people take out loans for cars and homes and they are nothing but cars and homes. They don’t speak for anything the person has accomplished, they’re just…a lovely material posession. But that doesn’t diminish how much my debt will be (probably $75,000, and that’s only after my undergrad. Of course going to a good school and doing some research in your undergrad can mean paying and not paying for your PhD).
I think I can be sucessful wherever I go. That sounds cocky, but I really think education is what you make of it. It’s really nice that I was accepted, though. I’m still happy about that.
thats the attitude you NEED to have to go though your undergrad and finish your PhD. You should be able to get some financial help at cornell, you could prob get it down between 11-12K. its a great school, im still waiting to hear from them. we will see…
