I just got engaged...

You’re a douchebag.

Takes one to know one, tough guy

congrats dude!!!

:bigclap:

congrats!

Oh… You just got sick of not having an answer to that question. I get it now.

Appreciate the kind words, all. There’s no need to worry about kids for a long time, she’s currently in her 3rd year of medical school, and will then start residency afterwards. Basically, kids would be 3-4 years down the road.

For all the anti-marriage sentiments, that’s ok too. I am 25 years old, and to be honest, I’ve already gotten and done a lot of things I’ve always wanted. I have a very good job, a nice retirement fund so far, nice house, and all the cars I’ve ever wanted, between the Lotus, MR2, and Volvo.

All that being said, Heidi has been the most incredible experience of them all. I can’t say enough about her, and I knew it after about 3 weeks of knowing her. We recently had our one year anniversary, and it was on that evening I gave her the ring. It’s really an amazing thing, and I can’t wait for what’s up ahead.

Congrats.
Did you do it for the health insurance?

Congrats Joe!

2 Things.

  1. It’s depressing that “all the cars you ever wanted” consists of a lotus, an mr2 and a volvo. Haha…

  2. When I was ~25 I dated a girl for 2 years. After a year I totally thought she was “the one”. Now I think she’s the fucking worst and that I’m an idiot for ever liking her.

However, when you consider point #1 up there, I suppose it makes sense that you can be happy with something… Me? I need constant change and am always on the lookout for the “next best thing” Be it car, girl… whatever…

Med school alleviates a lot of the financial concerns with marriage. It means jack shit but unless she’s a C student with $250k of student loans, that meets the Joe seal of approval

Just don’t let her start telling you what to do.

Congrads!

Knowing she’s the one after one year, that’s tough. I can’t knock it though, sometimes you just know.

I am going on year 4, maybe a ring in my near future but not yet…My sister got married after like 6 months. I cringed a bit but they’re good together.

Yeah, I certainly can be happy with something. I’m pretty secure, and don’t need constant change to be happy…

These subtle bragging threads make me want to vomit.

Congrats, Joe! Good luck with everything.

I just love scenery changes. Life is short I want it all.

Woah knew she was the one after 3 weeks and engaged after a year…I bet someone was a virgin up until then

Anyways if it works for you  best of luck.

How is this subtle bragging. Bro got engaged and wanted to share. He knows like 90% of the people on this board.
