I need a big favor...

Is anyone willing to help me locktight my butterfly valve screws and install engine motor mounts(will order them shortly).

I have very little experience working on cars and no tools.

Maybe this is a bit much to ask, but i’d like to learn how to do things and have someone helping me who is experienced with this kind of thing.

I can buy a case of beer or something for the person who helps me out.

thanks for reading.

I haven’t actually done the motor mounts myself, but I have done my butterfly screws and am more than willing to help you! I even have the loctite.

Now, the Caveat is that you’d have to wait until this weekend (I work long hours during the week), but I have Saturday, Sunday, Monday off. I can also probably help with the MMI’s even though I didn’t do them myself.

MMI’s are cake. You’ll laugh when you see how easy they are.

Welll they aren’t even ordered yet, I just want to get the butterflies done before anything happens. There’s a fairly new engine which was put in by Mills Nissan about 10 thousand clicks ago. So i don’t want anything happening to this one.

Even if it is easy i don’t have a jack or anything like that so it does become hard.

Well i was thinking in a couple weeks, i go away this weekend anyways. Well we could do it monday if you wanted? I wouldn’t have the MMI’s by then but that can be done later.

thanks a lot dude. If you have msn or e-mail or w/e mine is ‘robkaneary@msn.com’

It’s really easy. My weekend looks to be building up quickly. If you want to do it Friday night possibly, we can do that. Doesn’t take very long at all! Or, next week would also work. You’ll laugh when you see how easy it is to do this.

I leave for calgary on friday morning so let’s plan for next weekend sometime…

Ok, sure, that should work.

Do you work on Thursday, I have Thurs. Fri. Sat of this week. and you may be the first one in the club to see my car… I hope. :finga:

Yeah i have thurs off…

I’d love to see it.

So how’s the car feeling with those MMI’s in there now?

Is she back?

Is she back?[/quote]

X2, i wanna hear a true Spec T

I think there is a few ppl around who can confirm these questions :E

I just did mine the other weekend, it was actually really easy to do. Took me about an hour and a half though, i dropped a socket and it somehow ended up in the bumper cover. Took me 20 minutes to find it and fish it out

I don’t like the way the idle drops. Feels insanely good driving though, i love it. I have to go raise the idle and get this tranny thing fixed then it will be all good.

Oh the spec T is going alright… :o

thanks Nick.
