I bought some MMIs like 2 weeks ago and haven’t put em in cuz I’m lazy as hell… Just wondering how long it took you guys to do it? Don’t wanna start doing and then realize it’s not a 2-3 hr job but a 7-8 hr job is all.
Dude, it’s like a half hour job after you’ve done it once. It’s sooooo easy.
really? I checked a tutorial thingy and didnt state time just steps and it looked like a bitch. I’m automotive illiterate also tho… haha
Naw it’s cake, don’t worry about it. Do you have basic tools and a jack + stands? If so you should be good to go.
I can’t stress how easy it is. Probably one of the best mods I had done to mine.
If you are free this Wed. or Thursday, you could come over to my place and we could install 'em, I have a air gun and shit, makes life so easy to do these.
Took 15min with a lift. Should be no more then 30 min with stands.
well… I obviously grossly over estimated the job… haha
What are MMI’s? Might be a dumb question… probably is…
Motor Mount Inserts.
Very easy and worthwhile mod on a Spec V. Get’s rip of wheelhop (depending on which ones you get) and improves shifter feel x100.
I also did this install. it took me 3 hours. I used ramps and had a jack to hold up the engine. I installed the Energy Suspension ones. The steps on the vboard are good. I had to do the additional step of disconnecting the O2 sensor plug to make more room for the wrench. I used a 3/8-rachet with an extension to reach that rear mount bolt (that’s what the thingy also used). I could not fit my torque wrench to torque them to spec. So I had to use a calibrated elbow method…
I had some frustrating bits, but overall a good thing to do I believe.
Goddamn kids with their sigs.
Can’t stop staring.
where do you buy these? in edmonton
i hate that wheel hop issue and want to resolve it quick, i bought a header, so i could do everything intalled one day.
I got mine from Mopac Auto Supply 10448 170th Street

Those guys carry nissan shit? I went in, walked around and asked about wires and they were like no… Figured they were a joke…
is the motor mounts the same on 04 than it is on 02-03?
the part number listings only say application for 02-03
:ditto: (Just using the arrow to point up) Yes the 02-06’s use ALL of the same parts, except for basically exterior mods (but that should be pretty apparent), but yeah any mods for the Spec V’s are the same
