i need a new motor again

ok i am kinda new to shift but some of you out there know me. i am Tim Arnold and i am the 2nd asst. manager or the tall kid that works at the advance auto on rt. 9 in latham. those of you that know me know the struggle i went through to put a 2002 gsxr 1000 motor in my 2000 gsxr 600… well now i get to go through it again but this time its with a 1994 trans am. i bought it used out in johnstown and drove it all the way back to latham and the motor blew on it so now i need a new one so if anyone has or knows someone with an lt-1 motor it good condition let me know cause i need one.

forget the LT1…while the motor is out…dont waist anytime and drop a LSx motor in it!

but its way easier to drop an lt-1 in it and cheaper im not looking to make it very vast so a lt-1 is fast enough for me

there is a 90’s fleetwood brougham on craigslist with a good motor and its cheap. i was eyeing it but i keep slapping myself back to LSx land.

talk to psi2high on here, his brother has got a low mile LT1 laying around, literally. i think its under 45k.

def a better option.

ok thanks i sent him a message but if anyone else has someone they know with one let me know

Tim! whats good man?! there was an lt1 caprice wagon on johnson road… its red. says lt1 right on the glass.

-peter

whats actually blown on the engine? They had many different things on that motor that can go wrong. Details man we need details :runaway

i got one at a machine shop in c/p needs reringin at least or a .30 overbore but still in solid shape and its a 95 so you will have the vented opti not the unvented one

tim your gay

well i dont know what exactly is wrong with it cause i havent pulled the motor out yet but it still runs it just knocks like a bastard…my step-dad is a head tech at otto oldsmobile on central and he says it sounds like a main barring knock and a rod is bent and a lifter is stuck its sounds horrible. to peter the caprice on johnston has 225,000 miles on it i have talked to that guy its a peice and to dave mustangs are like dirty tampons and every pussy has one j/k lol

pull the head off and see whats going on

GL bro… maybe this weekend me and chris will come over and pull the head off… and take a gander

B-body LT1s have iron heads instead of aluminum. and the cams are smaller for low end torque. The short block is the same but you are going to want F-body / Corvette heads and cam

what will pullin a head prove if he spun a bearing its on the opposite end of the horse 2 bolt main lt1,s were known for spinnin a rod bearing or 2 cause of tight bearing tolerences it takes 4 hrs or less to have the motor out pull it and yank the pan pullin heads aint gonna do anything but waste time

if anyone want to come and take a look at it and see what they think you are more than welcome to just let me know you can hit me up on my cell 518-330-1585 i would appreciate a second or third or even a fourth opinion

TIMMMMMMMMMMMMAYYYYY! what up dawg

jimmy i need a motor HHHHEEEEELLLLLLPPPPP!!!

any luck yet bro?
