I did the swap before on my 93 , honestly its smarter to buy a 8 cyl car . But most of the b.s involved image swap is sourcing parts .
I might just keep the v6 in then till it gives me trouble and just do the body work, what type rims? sizes and prices?
I have a bolt on LS1 car that I’m looking to sell fairly cheap it’s on here in the F/S section for 3500. Only thing is it is automatic, but the trans and axle both only have about 500 miles on full rebuilds. Probably be about the same price as piecing together a healthy LT1 swap.

not to start the LTx vs. LSx shit, but for future modification potential it’s hard to argue with having an LS base platform, plus if he bought another running driving complete car he could part what he doesn’t need to recoupe part or all of the purchase price. Just throwing the offer out there if he’s interested.

I agree , the lsx is a better platform . But he lookin at a min of 4-5k for what is needed to do it . Then a ton of wiring . He is better off buying the ls car from u and doing that one up . But he has the car already so its on him now
Ya a decent LSX car would definetly be more money, but based on the pics the body on his is better then mine, plus if he bought that car from me he would get all the suspension and the knock off vette wheels. I dunno I’m just in the mood to sell that car right now. Just kinda want to get back focused on finishing my 91 and having another project makes that hard.

$3250.10 so far into my 94 V6 to turbo 6.0L swap project. http://shift518.com/showthread.php?t=25519 I bought an entire 2500 truck for a parts car with 200K on it! Found good deals on the rest of the major parts for the swap. Thats with sealing the motor back up, and going through the entire 4l80 with new parts.
Even junk yard complete motors come with harnesses and maybe an ecu, if not they are like $50-75. Get and EFI Live license and delete the junk you dont need on the motor. Wiring is easy, if you dont want to go crazy with getting all the little amenities working again. Remember this is a 94, what crazy wiring did they really have??? That entire LSx motor can run on an engine stand with a battery and engine harness/ecu. It doesnt take much to get it to run under ANY car. (so I am told, I am in the middle of my first few lsx swaps right now)
You want dirt cheap v8 power in that bitch.
5.3L bottom end $300, Edelbrock Performer intake $250 and slap a carb (performer electric choke $300) on it. Good by wiring. Section out the V6 K member, section out 3 inches off the bottom of the truck oil pan. Trans of choice behind it. Measure for drive shaft, bring stocker to drive shaft shop and they cut it down and re balance it. DO BURNOUTS.
Deff alot of food for my thoughts in here, as it does sound like a swap will be pricey, which money is no objest to me, just time to get the money saved, i do not care about being the fastest camaro out there, and for 500$ for a drivable car that can pass inspection easy i dont think i did to bad on this pick up, the ttops still look fun, maybe ill just keep this one in running order and do the rims, suspension, and paint, have a lil fun just cruising, and drive her till she blows up which with how i take car of vehicles<unless i dont know something about this piticualar car> it will last nearly forever… for example my neon which is my daily driver looks like it just came off the show room floor its so clean, I know maybe its cause im young, dumb, and inexperrienced i see alot of potentiol when i play with this new toy of mine
