I raced an SRT-4 today...

THEY HAVE THE SAME HP. The only reason why the vette has a higher HP rating is because of sales. They didnt want to hurt sales by selling a car nearly 10k cheaper, with the same HP ratings…that would defeat the whole purpose of the “vette” being GM’s main sports car…once again, they have the same HP output at the motor…their is no difference…now, lets talk about dyno numbers…

ALL LSx Motors are seriously under rated from the factory. LS1’s have been rated between 325-345 from the factory, where most M6’s put down those numbers at the wheels. The New LS3 is a Animal…rated at 430hp, most of them are laying down more then 400rwhp factory stock…The LS7, is simply orgasmic…My buddys 06 C6 Z06 back when it was bone stock, put down 470rwhp…with a tune and a air filter (NOT A INTAKE) it put down 496rwhp…even the LS1’s in the GTO’s have the same HP stock for stock as any ls1 c5/F-body.

F-bodys have been proven to put down higher dyno numbers then C5’s because of their drive train/axle design…dont believe me, do a search on LS1tech…Even tho the vette is Lighter, F-bodys USUALLY produce more HP at the rear wheels…this about even’s out the power to weight, making them pretty much the damn same, as far as drag racing goes.

in the end, 6 out of 10 skilled drivers in both a C5, and a LS1 F-body will run low 13’s Factory bone stock.

What happened to LS1 running 12s bone stock? :lol

ET should have been near MID 13s in the 3/S.

1/4 of them will run a 12 with a very good driver behind the wheel…1/2 of them will run 13’s and the other 1/4 goes to the people who cant drive, running 14’s…overall, their 13 second cars, with an exception of some 12’s and some 14’s.

The story changes from day to day. :lol

:rofl oh man, Shawn is back!

Hah. Not for long. Going on vacation for 2+ weeks.

good riddance

I will be saying the same while laying in the Caribbeans with a few dozen drinks

Excuse me? Excuse me, senor? May I speak to you please? I asked for a mai tai, and they brought me a pina colada, and I said no salt, NO salt for the margarita, but it had salt on it, big grains of salt, floating in the glass…

ROFL!!! Priceless. I just saw that movie yesterday too.

None where I am going.

Shawn. I am the type of person that would usually tell someone that excuses don’t count. If you ran a certain time, you ran a certain time. HOWEVER for the sake of defending my previous statement that my car will run a high 12 bone stock, I will say this: The night I ran my car was slipping BAD on the clutch. Because of this the best 60’ I could pull was a 2.1. That run landed me the 13.2 e.t. If I had a good clutch and the humidity wasn’t at 3000% I know I could have hit that 12. The reason I know is because I could feel how much that car still had stored up behind the clutch.

Really, that is an excuse for not doing better, but again just for the sake of arguing my previous statement. It can do it. It just needs a clutch and preferably some nice fall air to give it the extra edge.

dont be that guy.

HAHA :lol

:confused

rotglmmfrao chucknorris style :lol

Of course, it can do it. No one is saying it cannot. My car CAN run 10s. Right now. Will it? Probably not with me driving at LVD. Again, that’s the difference. The FACT is that it is NOT a 12 second bone stock car because the majority of people DO NOT run those ETs. The LS1 fanbois played the game of finding 10 or so cases of those that ran 12s. Hell. Find 100. How many C5s from 97-0X made runs at the track? Cliff Notes: What % of those that run 12s?

That is the best way i’ve heard it put yet. I agree.
