I shocked my computer?

like 2 minutes ago I was just folding my laundry on my bed, on aim and whatever. go fold a shirt, go back to my computer, touch it and POP! i feel a tiny shock (just static shock) and my computer turns off. Didn’t blow a fuse, my stereo received was still on. Turn my computer back on, and it shut down all the way, not just as if i had closed it (its a laptop). I have carpet so obv caused some static electricity, but it shut off my comp?

wtf mate?

did it ever restart?

yea sorry i was unclear in the first post. when i turned the computer back it, it turned on fine, but it turned on as if the computer had been turned off. no error message like when you hold the power button down, and not "resuming from hibernation’ like when you just close it

it turned on as if it had just been properly turned off

ur lucky the shock didnt mess something up on the motherboard or u would be lookin for a new laptop
