Next time I go to give -er she is silent battery works, I’m almost 101% positive it is not the starter solenoid (other basic checks I have done). Now I noticed a brake or I thought feul line broken and taped it together it was nothing serious. When I turn the key in the ignition, the first click of the turnn you have your power to all points in the vehicle except starting. Every time my gas gauge, as well as the engine hot cold gauge arent centering or seem to have no power, so I get someone else to turn to start the car while I listen and I hear a clicking on the drivers side under the hood coming from a small fuse box relay station, not the side your battery is on. There it has some larger looking fuses : Horn? Diff oil? etc…??? So please someone help me #1 the gas and h and c do not move to place , battery is on and working properly. #2 All fuses interior r fine under as well to my knowledge if anyone knows u know where to find me!!!
the H and C you are talking about is the temperature gauge. why would it move if the engine isnt on to generate heat? it wont go anywhere until the car is started. gas gauge will always read how much is in the tank, that wont move either. and did i read that right, you repaired a broken hard-line with tape??? not to mention you dont even know whether its a brake line or a fuel line, either being equaly bad if repaired with tape.
as for your problem, does the motor crank or no?
It sounds to me like:
- You try to start your car and it doesn’t crank. It does making a clicking noise however (soleniod I’m guessing?)
As for taping a leaking line … that is a bad idea. The second you go to use your brakes you could find them falling to the floor (if it’s a brake line). And a fuel line is pretty bad too. If it starts to leak you will have flammable fuel everywhere over time …
Sounds to me like your starter is dead. Can you push start the car?
