so why weren’t u on the team?
doesn’t pay enough.
I tried, but apparently you have to actually suck to play for the Pirates.
i guess you only do anal
for ten dolla
[QUOTE=Cutty]the pirates are not the reds. thats the choice you have. If you want what the reds offer drive to cincy. i’m not being a dick about it but i’m not gonna go to mcdonalds and expect them to make me a whopper.
we are we have many bus trips planned for the reds next year…
sorry bud…you threw up the post…sometimes you got to give away the farm to bring the people back and then slowly bring the prices back up…
and if your not making good money of the food conessionsairs, you need to have your contracting people revualate that contract…
i deal with food contracts daily here: and i know food brings in more then just a lil!!!
not true, those $4.50 hotdogs are only marked up a quarter. they’re made of SNIPE meat caught by local boyscouts on camping trips
“HERE SNIPE! get in the bag”
the pirates do not have a great deal with aramark. My opinion thou would not matter to the people that could change it.
anyway, next year will be the 4th year in a row that ticket prices will stay the same, unlinke much of the league. Visitors always comment on how low our prices are compared to those around the league. A seat in boston compared to our $27 seats is $75. thats not even the most extreme example.
Boston has a historic park and a winning team in a bigger city.
$75 to watch hall of famers and world series winners > $27 legion team
you say that now but i highly doubt you would spend $75.
i’ll pay $75 to my cable company to air static instead of pirate games in my house.
cicny is close in comparison… new stadium, similar city, bad team…there comparable seats are $36. $9 more
they air pirate games? :dunno:
i won’t spend $27 so yeah that’s the truth. i go to about 8 or 9 a year. half bleacher $8-10, half on third base line (those are ususally $27 face but i never had to pay face). don’t teams make most of their cash on season tickets though?? not walk ups or is that way off?
its depends, teams that sell house make all of it on season tickets. Pittsburgh’s tickets are 60% walk up (presale and day of).
now would you agree that it’s safer to have presold season tix in stead of walkups… wouldn’t a 60-40 be better thant eh current 40-60?
we sold as many as we could. We would sell all seats as season tix if we could, thats garenteed money. i would totally agree.
