I want a new honda TRX400 or suzuki LTZ400 soo bad
my buddy has an old suzuki kick start 2 stroke 250 i keep trying to buy off him…he got it for free
ya i had a warrior. they have a smooth, tight feel to them. they are nice. they feel a bit big and not as responsive as some but they are nice. 250x hondas feel real nice too. my suzukis felt alot lower/flatter than the trx250x/300ex’s and trx-r’s ive ridden. hondas have their own feel and i do like it also.
my friend has a 01 raptoor and he had the starter problems also. i think they adressed it in like 03(?) but i dunno if its eliminated or not
warriors are big turds, i’ve had two of them and still have one.
if u run 21s up front 20s in the back and straighter / lower bars, it gives it a good feel. thats what i did when i had mine. it sorta helps get rid of that tipsy feel they have.
i had 18’s on the back of my old one. starter removed battery removed, the hole race mods thing. a stock lt400 is faster than a modded warrior.
I had 22 up front and 20’s out back with alumilites back in the day. it felt great
None of you guys (or know of anyone) that would be interested in buying a fully built (stock bore on motor) race quad would you? 2003 Honda 400ex. If so please let me know, and I will give you a full spec sheet with pics. I seriously have between 20k and 25k into this bike. I love it to death, just dont really ride anymore. Total hours on the frame and motor at probally CLOSE to 20 hours … and all the aftermarket parts maybe 10 hours. Seriously, I bought the quad … rode it for a little while, built it … and then just stopped riding due to other things.

damn don, 18s? was it setup for mx? i had 18s on my lt250r and it was sweet, never had them on my warrior. the thing about the warriror is that the engine is pretty old technology. its a huge, dated engine, so i wouldnt think it could run w/ the lt400 unless decked out a good bit. those lt400s dont seem all that fast tho either.
yep. turf tamers18x11x9’s on the rear and fronts were fast trekker 21x7x10’s i think.

4 months triple tree cracked right in half…
axel snapped blown shock…
then starter gear spun its self and stupped teeth off …big pos…fats as hell everything else sucked ass on it…

anyone know if my 250 cr motor in my dirt bike can be placed in a quard frame???
i herd the differnece between the 250r quard and dirt bike engine is there is a balancer somewhere…and the dirtbike motro would rattle loose???

correct. also, the trx250r engine is based off of the mid-80s cr250 engine, so youd have to do custom fabrication to make the 96 fit. it would be fast but i think the internal gearing would be wrong too tho.

you can put that motor in a quad, lots of people have done them before. it will just vibrate alittle. they use counterbalancers in the quad engines. i don’t understand what the hell the difference is, i guess it due to the increased amount of metal(bigger frame) that causes all the vibration.
isn’t there a weight limit on a raptor? there should be…
