Raptor 250 SE

Ok, so this week Im prob getting a quad. I think I have my mind made up to getting a 08 Raptor 250 Special Edition. Does anyone have/know someone who has one? Opinions?

would be good for small adult, or woman it’s about the same size as a blaster and not much power

Actually I heard otherwise…I heard they rip. And I know someone who rides 400class with a stock 250 raptor and wins…And I am pretty small, 5"6’ 160 so its my size hah

if you know someone then why would you ask anyone else. you believe his BS. the only way he runs anywhere near a 400 or 450 is the other riders absolutely suck!

:bowrofl:

Whats so funny?

they are more of an entry-level type quad. something like a 400ex would def be faster/more agressive.

ya this is true. they are basically the 4stroke replacement to the old Blaster. its taking the place of the Blaster in the ‘sport’ lineup. if youve ever ridden a blaster, i garauntee you you will be cramped on it , as an adult, and its not the fastest quad out there by any means. its a somewhat low-tech 4stroke engine, but for what it is intended to do, its a good quad.

i was thinking of getting this for my son or his bday

i am open for opinions and if someone works @ at mx dealership let me know. and no i am not looking for a hook up. if no one works there i will just get one in ohio

legally, they are not allowed to sell one to you if it’s for your son, he’s not old enough to ride one that size.

i know that

i’m guessing your not gonna get the insurance for it either then?

I think my 660 Rhino might beat a 250 Raptor. I dont know what you are going to spend on this thing, but you should come look at my 2005 Limited Edition YFZ-450 with an FMF Factory 4 exhaust and a set of hot cams. That thing will be extremely fast compared to a Raptor 250. I wouldnt even consider a raptor 250, I would buy a used raptor 660 any day before a new 250, even if the price was cheaper on the 250. Like I said… I am going to sell my YFZ-450 because I just bought a new Rhino. If your interested, PM me. At least invest in something thats going to have way more than enough power to keep you happy for years.

^ this would make more sense.
honestly, a raptor 250 is for a true beginner in the sport quad world. its on the level of a blaster or 300ex. both nice quads, but for an adult that has some riding experience, they would get rather boring. for comparisons sake, a kid on a YZ85 would blow that raptor 250 away, with ease. look into a used raptor 660, one of the 450s or even a 400ex or something if you feel a bigger raptor or 450 is more than you are lookin for. also, those raptor 250s are physically, a smaller type quad, so i can pretty much garauntee youll feel cramped on it.

I will give u a fair price on my YFZ if your interested… either way, even if you dont want a YFZ, DO NOT buy that raptor… I promise you it will basically be like throwing money away.

For everyone who said that it wasnt going to be fun and dissed on the 250…Its a hell of a fun quad…Love it…And Roberts…How much for the YFZ might have someone interested?

so you bought it? well any quad is fun. but id sure as hell rather have a used raptor 660/700 or 450 than a 250. when you tap out at like 40 mph and kids on 80cc dirtbikes are wheelying past you, youll regret it. lol

hell, 60’s will pull away from it.

Wow you guys are so gay…

dude, we arent tryin to be funny, its the truth. me and Don have been around motocross/quads/bikes etc all our lives, so we arent talkin out of our asses.

like i said, its a nice quad, no doubt…its probably the best quad out of the other entry-type sport quads, but its just not a performance quad. and yes, a high-performance, modern 85cc 2stroke mx bike is faster than your quad, i garauntee it.
