I hit 240km/h in my S14 KA at about 6000 rpm, and it cuts the fuel at 7250, I belive that I would be able to go over 260 atleast if I had no heart and could hold her at those kind of rpms for that long…
actually if you people stopped beliving rumors you would find that there is NO difference between the SR and KA 5th gear which has been proven countless times on Freshalloy and Zilvia.
why would you randomly insert a SR with a CA tranny? the CA rear end is a different ratio than a SR or KA rear end which again makes your calculation compleatly wrong.

So far to me, both numbers are rumours. Where is the proof you mentioned? I’m not trying to argue here-- it would just be really nice to positively know the answer.
I took that ratio as a guess based on the S14 SR fsm… which shows 0.838:
One way or another Scott I hope you’re right anyway – taller gears ftw!
the tomei one says tomei on it the nismo one says nismo, the euro one goes to 240,
however a ton of other places also make speedo’s veilside use to do it among others alot of the s13 ones aren’t made now.
all you have to do is swap the guage over it’ll work perfectly… 4 screws from behind the cluster, and the guage drops out once you’ve removed the bezels…
there are also shop than can recaibrate an build you anew guage that reads to we/e you want…
They’re such a huge waste of money though, and they make you speed too. The only reason I ended up with one, is b/c nobody was buying my damn palm pilot, and then one guy offered to trade for the cluster, so I took it. It looks kinda cool, but it definitely made me speed way more than before. In my entire time having the car before, I’d never hit speed cut, I only had it installed for a month or so before I stored my car this summer and I hit speed cut like 3-4 times. If I had some kind of speed cut eliminator, I’m sure I would’ve tried to see how far down the speedo I can get. It’s like a dare, looking back at you from your dashboard. “I bet you can’t hit 240km/h!”
lol… dare it is alright… anyway… last night i tested it, i accelerated to 8000rpm in 4th gear, than put into 5th and let it get as high as possible, it went to 7000 not that long, but than slowly made it to ~8450 (this took probably about half or three quarter of a minute in total) on the safc2 and ~8200-8300 on the analog stock tach… and after talking to sasha i’ve thought of two things clutch slip or the tach is highly off, i was running 9-10psi it was fairly cold outiside i’d say 5C, now i have heard but unsure that the tach might be off by as much as 500rpm… so that means i might have only been doing 7800rpm or so… anyway… this is what the speed calculator told me, if anyone thinks i put the info incorrectly please correct me i’ll recalculate…
285km/h with stock turbo running at 10psi and 5C outside ? i think something isnt right… that tomei cluster would come in handy… no more trying this shit i dont reccomend to anyone and if your going to make sure you have a clear way ahead
