Yeah, the title is correct and not an advertisement. My Mom plays Wheel of Fortune online along with the TV show. I guess they have a nightly special puzzle or something that you get from TV and use it online to win points/prizes. Sony sponsors Wheel of Fortune so practically all of the stuff is Sony (digi cams, camcorders, TVs, etc). Well she uses my Dad and my e-mail address so she gets more chances to win stuff and collect points. She has been doing this close to a year now. Somehow she won a big lump of points at once in my e-mail address account and told me to pick something out. It was about $350 worth of points and the things in the ‘store’ are cheaper the more time you spend playing. So the 40gb PS3 was about $340 after the discount and I had enough points to get one!
I am basically just going to use it for a Blu Ray player. There are very few PS3 only games that I want to play. I’ll just rent those until I’m bored with it. I have an x360 already and get games for less than $5 accounting for rental and blank disc costs. Plus I’m way more used to Xbox controllers than PS3.
Can’t beat free though!
I’m still trying to convince my Mom to go on Wheel of Fortune. She is fuckin amazing at that game. She will solve most puzzles with only a few letters in place. She won’t do it though… I am trying to convince her to go on Mother/son week or something. I will spin and do all the talking and she just has to whisper the answer to me, haha
