They’re telling YOU that YOU cannot rebuild a strut YOURself. Same goes for tokico HTSs. You can’t just rebuild them YOURself.

And I remember specifically emailing the site I bought them from and asking if I can get them rebuilt if they’re blown. They may just replace them w.e. as long as I get a working strut.
