Ideas on how to capitalize (cashing in on weight loss)

They probably do that too, but I know there was this one commerical I forget the name of the product I don’t think they had the “befores”, everyone was just talking about how great the feel and look lol. Dude was like “I was brushing my teeth in the mirror and all of a sudden I see a muscle I never had before”… guy was jacked lol…

If I lost 160 lbs I would be a negative number. The weight you lost over that time was basically a whole human life forum. Great job.

I do have some of the old cloths (anyone need 18 - 22" neck shirts or 40 or greater jeans/pants pm me). I do enjoy wearing my old belt from time to time as a reminder. It almost wraps half way around me.

Normal weekday routine:
Breakfast: 1 low sugar and 1 regular instant oatmeal or a cup of honey nut cheerios
Lunch: Footlong subway over roasted chicken on either wheat or white (the rest of the choices add sodium or extra calories). keep the side under 150 calories (popcorn, pretzels, baked chips)
Dinner: Lean cuisine or similar, chicken breast and broccoli, or soup
Snack: 94% fat free popcorn or apple
Drink: Crystal Light, Pepsi Max, lots of water

I am not a nutritionist or claim this is the prefect plan but it is working for me. For someone very overweight, I had expanded my stomach to the point that it always felt empty and I had to consume large meals to feel full. After a couple weeks of smaller meals; this went away.

Huge massive

I lost almost 100 a few years ago. The difference was astonishing. Buuut I since have gotten fat again. Gained like 60 back. Hugely disappointed in myself for that. But I’m back at it, rode 35 miles on the bike a few days ago.

Congratulations!

Edit:

52 pants, 40 waist. Hoping to be back where I was by march.

Nice, also drinking lots of water must of helped you feel full. I know a trick is to drink a glass of water before each meal.

^That works very well. Anytime I know I’m going to be near lots of food, I down two glasses of water and then get my meal. That way I don’t end up over-eating

^^ was not aware of that… Going to have to try that

Keep at it sir. I think weighing myself daily and keeping to this routine should help me keep going. But I know it is a constant battle. I can have a bad eating weekend and put on 5 to 10 lbs.

Interesting article that helped me understand why people who lose a lot of weigh gain it back easily. We have so many more fat cells trying to absorb and store the fat.

Humans carry about 10 billion to 30 billion fat cells. People who are obese can have up to 100 billion.

“If anyone of us overeats long and hard enough, we can increase the number of fat cells in our body,” Fried said. “When we lose weight, we don’t lose the number of fat cells.”

The size of the cells shrinks, but the capacity to expand is always there.

Good read, thanks for sharing…

I think the best part is not having to buy pants at the fat boy store anymore

A little over 3 years ago I decided to make some life changes. 3 years later, I am a healthier, happier, and still about 150 lbs lighter.
Figured I would update this thread. It is a daily battle, but I encourage everyone that it is worth it.

Should either start a youtube channel or a blog. You aren’t really documenting your journey anymore, but tips and what you do daily might be helpful to other people losing weight.

I thought about that. I do have a couple of people I have helped on Facebook, but a blog seems like a lot of effort, plus I’m not a natural writer. I am much better at numbers. But I haven’t ruled it out.

I did get some fitness equipment from a company for a quick video I did with them. Cashing in on this was never the ultimate goal, but now I just want to encourage others.
