If anyone is an “amateur” stargazer near Pittsburgh and has no city lights blocking their view…go outside and take a look at the sky tonight. Simply amazing clarity, which is rare in PA.
And, no, I’m not :shaggy: right now.

I was out last night, will agree with you. Haven’t seen the sky this clear in a long time.

I liked it in gulfport. needed a telescope for sure :bigthumb:
weird that you all said this, cause i’ve seen two rather large shooting stars in the last 3 days… and I cant remember the last time I saw one before I saw those two.
I caught one tonight at 1:00 or so…same one?

wierd I was on my lunchbreak at work(9 pm) and saw a shooting star.first time ever.
I was @ home in bed when all this happened.
If you really enjoy it, sometiem take a ride up to Cherry Springs, PA … i’ve heard from lots and lots of ppl that its been rated the best spot in the United States for stargazing… Its a pretty good ride from here, but apparently worth it… b/c there are thousands of motorhomes show up when they have special weekends for it…
Its in Potter County, PA… little southeast of Coudersport
Darkstar is a professional meatgazer… Does that count?
