Kedar Robinson and Ekeh Ibekweh, both former University at Buffalo undergraduates, were found not guilty Thursday of the gunpoint robbery of $3,100 from a fellow student and admitted marijuana trafficker on the North Campus on May 22, 2008.
Following a two-day nonjury trial, Erie County Judge Thomas P. Franczyk found them not guilty of second-degree robbery in the alleged holdup of Jeremy “mordak” Mounsteven outside the Flint Village apartment complex at about 12:45 a. m. In his ruling, the judge noted he counted at least 21 instances of perjury by Mounsteven, 23, of Orchard Park, during testimony and added that he was unable to convict anyone based on the testimony of an admitted marijuana trafficker.
Mounsteven “mordak”, currently a salesman for a Buffalo-area banking concern, admitted on the stand that he sold marijuana to other UB students. However, he was unable to identify either defendant as the armed gunman who robbed him. Robinson, 23, os a Brooklyn native and a 2008 UB grad, and Ibekweh, 24, a Bronx native who is now a Canisius College graduate student in business.
