Ignition Feed wire....

where would be the best place to tap into it on a S13 with a SR20DET and how do i find it???

thanks,

Ignition feed? Do you mean the starter signal, or ignition power…, what?

ignition power, wiring a kill switch…still

and killing the battery alone won’t kill the car.

The main ignition power is a larger gauge black wire with a red stripe. You can find it in the larger of two harness plugs behind the battery.

i wired a kill switch to the black/white wire (i believe it turns into black/red further on) coming from the igniton, what that does is cut off the fuel pump, so that the engine will turn over but will not fire. but this will interfer with a turbo timer as the timer would turn off with the switch, so you would have to wait for the timer to go off then hit the switch. is this what you were talking about?

I race (drag) my S13 pretty often and to pass tech with a battery in the trunk you need a kill switch mounted on the rear of the car in case of a crash and they need a way to kill the motor and kill the battery (in case of spark)

I was running my wire today and did locate teh black wire with the red stripe but orginally it was attached to the POS. post of the battery, therefore if the POS connection was removed from the battery and it didn’t shut down then this will be no different :?

wow this is pretty hard on the head.

Does anyone know what wire i have to run back to the kill switch to make it kill the engine??

thanks, Fitzy

Bump,

this is disguisting. SOMEONE must be running a track legal kill switch!!!
