Well I’m considering installing my NX kit in the IS but I was wondering if anyone knows a way to retard timing on a stock ignition setup. I don’t really want to buy an MSD box or anything but I will if I have to, just curious if theres a way to plug into the stock ECU and mess w/ ignition timing that would be cheaper/easier than going MSD. Thanks

the coool thing about MSD or other retard boxes is that with a window switch u can have the timing retarded whne the nitrous is running and u can have teh nitrous only spraying during certain rpms. its safer and more reliable
yes u can get ur stock ECU programmed but u will be wasting power, u lose power with the timing retarded and ur not using the nitrous.
ur better off off goign with an msd with a retard and window switch

Yeah i’m familiar with all MSD has to offer but I was hoping there was something out there that you could easily adjust your timing so that you could just set it before a nitrous run at the track and then set it back for daily driving. I wouldn’t reprogram my stock ECU I was hoping there was an easy piggyback option but maybe not.
