Let me ask you this. When you make a mistake, how do you go about fixing it? Example, your house caught fire and half burned up. How do you start to fix it? Its simple. You remove the damaged, burned up shit in your way. (the illegals) Then you assess the situation at hand to rebuild. (you need 100 acers farmed, in 2 months. it will take 2200 man hours…) You know you will need help, you ask your neighbor, and your friends. (put an add in help wanted) You all start to work on rebuilding the house, your neighbor is a lazy fuck and cant paint a wall to save his life tell him to get lost. (fire the lazy shit heads on the farm) Now you had to hire a contrator to pick up the slack, dude rocks and its coming out better than expected! (no shit, you found a good employee who added value to your farm and you pay them accordingly!). House is rebuilt. (100 acers are farmed)
Now you are done with the house. (crops are completed) You fixed the house better than it was prior to the fire. (crops are much better than the first go around) BOTH ARE SOLD AT A BETTER PROFIT!
Now the important part. How will you keep from burning the house down again? (how will you not fall behind on the farm) You dont skimp on quality wiring throughout the next house so it doesnt catch fire again! (you focus on hiring better workers, compensating them better to drive them to work better) Like you said though, people too often settle for second best, or “good enough”. So the work ethic sinks. The government follows suit, its easier to look the other way and still get “some” money in the pocket… than it would be to put in the extra effort to raise the bar and put a little extra in the pocket afterwards.
