Car that has been in water that long is a total loss anyways…and it needed to come out of the water…I don’t see how else it could have been removed.

Well first off, welcome to the forum. Second, driving around on ice which i know could crack and me fall in isnt my cup of tea… Glad you didnt fall in and die is good too…
Dirty Jobs had an episode that showed a pretty slick system to remove the car without ripping it appart. Using air bags and a pivoting ramp system.
Although… on the show, they relied on the ice as a sufficient structure to hold their equipment.
They really did a number on that thing to get it out. Damn
