is it a mesdemeanor? usually the court date is within 7-10days of the date received if its a misdemeanor traffic violation, especially in a bigger court like albany. my tickets i got were 10 days after the tickets were issued, but it was rotterdam/schenectady county court. a little bit smaller… 3 days it quick, they want to make an example of you… :ohnoes

i got a misdemeanor violation for 126/55 and Reckless. prior to i had 7 years of clean driving experience and it was costly for me… i spent over 1000$ for everything and went from facing 16 points, to getting 8, and doing defensive driving to reduce to 4, i have to pay the DMV 150/yr for 3 years. think about it, its not cheap.
trust me i learned my lesson. im not going to the lot anymore even if the spot gets changed. im keeping my speeding shit strictly to leb valley.

anything over 6points on your license, the DMV invokes the fee, $100/minimum + 25$ per every point over 6 points. whether its moving, or non moving doesnt matter, if its a point it goes against you

I’m 99% getting it reduced to a 2 pt “failure to yield to traffic control device” ticket or an ACD, my lawyer says 50/50 either way. Court date is 9/2/08, ticket was 8/3/08.
BUT, like I told you before, this is my first ticket and I have an immaculate record and a great lawyer, so I dunno how different it’s gonna be with you. I can afford the fines/surcharges/lawyer fees fairly easily between my two jobs (mommy and daddy aren’t paying a penny for this, just like my car, in case anyone was wondering :nana), I’ve got $600 in my desk right now, I’m just hoping that I can get an ACD because I don’t want insurance to buttfuck me for the next 5 years. I haven’t gone more than 10 over the limit since my ticket so I’m not going to “feel the pressure” of an ACD anyways.
