I'm sorry, We are going to have to let you go. (a short novel.)

U GUYS AND THE “C” word…geez

not that this woman doesn’t deserve it… I’ll take her for ya Jenn just let me know when LOL

I vote for anonymous notification of both spouses. The rest will take care of itself.

Set her dog on fire.

If she doesn’t have a dog, get her one, and wait for her to love it. Then set it on fire.

Kidding…I like animals more than most people. Set her on fire.

Or, better yet, since you’ve got the time off…hang out at that McD’s or wherever they do their thang. Get some pics of them together (the nastier, the better) and send them to those involved AND the spouses at the same time, with an explanation of why they didn’t get the chance to “pay you off.”

^^^^ that is so wrong about the dog but hilarious too

Sorry to hear about your job Jenn

No terroristic threats plz

Sorry to hear…workplace drama FTL

:slap:

you cant even joke about that stuff. i had an envelope come thru at work that had a white powder in it, and the postal police ended up arresting the person who sent it as a joke.

oh, missed that one. Yea, def not cool. My uncle tells me stories of packages exploding on the conveyor belt at the Warrendale distribution center. Very beat.

not a right to work state in pa… unfortunately you can be dismissed for anything performance related

good news is, pittsburgh has a good economy going for itself, and jobs are plentiful

just remember one thing

Don’t take the first offer that jumps out for you, have a few on the table. One bad offer, could reduce your earnings by 15-30%.

A.) Not allowing growth that you deserve
B.) Taking a job thats not exactly in line with your profession, looks bad from potential hiring managers

It’s not a right to work state, but that really only relates to Unions.

It is “employment at will”

Since 1891, Pennsylvania has subscribed to the theory of employment at will. Thus, as the court noted in Stumpp v. Stroudsburg Municipal Authority 540 Pa. 391, 396 (1995), "as a general rule, employees are at-will, absent a contract, and may be terminated at any time, for any reason or for no reason.

I don’t know what kind of drugs you’re on, but most people I know have to search high and low for a good job in Pittsburgh. Maybe I should get on the same stuff so I can get 3 job offers in Pgh (I think that would be 50% of the total job openings) and make 30% more money.

:bash:

I’ve never been oiut of a job for more than a week. (And thats if I dont know I’m being let go) Jobs ARE plentiful and I will have one by next Friday. At the latest.

depends on your industry, I work mainly with it/engineering… and those jobs are quite plentiful here

not everyone knows that, the loss of not having a job settles in and people will sometimes just jump around from place to place

thats pretty much what i summarized

I was just saying that b/c I am somewhat in that situation. Finance jobs in the area that require little to no experience are not too plentiful in this area. So I took a job right out of school in financial sales…b/c they will hire anyone and if you like/make it you can make an insane amount of money. Then I found out I didnt want to be cheesy/lying guy. Then I got into Mortgages, b/c I was interested in them and I knew the job I was taking was a work there for a year or so and take the experience job with type of job…which I did. Now I am at a decent company with a decent job as a financial analyst…and I know there is a decent opportunity…but I am getting dicked around now and am pissed.

The dog joke gets yanked, but the anthrax one’s ok?

ouch. sorry jenn, ppl are no good :frowning:
