isnt imprudent speed a dumb way of saying doing a burnout or accelerating too fast? that or too fast for conditions. probly gonna be points with that. were you over the speed limit?

imprudent speed is another way of saying… you were speeding but my radar gun was off so I can’t nail you for XX in an XX. Were you speeding? Were you weaving in and out of traffic?

ive gotten an impruent speed ticket…reduced to 20$ parking ticket… if that helps any? you wont get points thats for sure…unless u sleep with the judges daughter er something

One summer I got unauthorized speed contest in Tonawanda and a week later imprudent speed in Lancaster. The Tonwanda ticket got knocked down to imprudent speed and $125.00 with some points. When I went to Lancaster, they wouldn’t budge. Big fine and no school, just pay and take the points. He referred to my prior ticket as to why he wouldn’t knock it down.

i got one once. i was 30 over the speed limit and then tried to evade police. he cut me a ‘break’.
i went in and took a plea from the Asst DA and ended up with the ticket of the day… failure to signal… 2 points.
so it prolly not worth it to go to court,considering i have a speeding ticket (22 over) and a stop sign ticket?

If its worth it to go to court depends on where it is.

It’s not as bad as if you were caught on radar. There is room to squirm on this one. If you go to court, you should be able to plea it down to a parking ticket and school (no points). You might be able to take it to trial and the cop might not show up. Depending on the cirumstances, he may not be able to prove that your speed was imprudent.
I have had a few of these, and I always get them down to a parking ticket and move on with life.
Imprudent speed = cop had a hard on that day and wanted to fuck someone.
