Imprudent speed ticket

My buddy got an imprudent speed ticket in the town of lancaster. He went blasting through a parking lot and a cop saw him and pulled him over. He is planning on pleading guilty. Any body know about how much its gonna cost him? He also has gotten a speeding ticket reduced within 18 months and he went to school.

just plead not guilty u will get a lesser charge more then likely

Not guilty, it gets reduced he’s happier than he would be if he did guilty.

i went to school 4 times last year

sounds good.

they don’t check that, do they…?

Sometimes they check, and if they know, then you have to go to school once a week for like 7 weeks = it sucks. If you plead not guilty you risk points and insurance increases. If he is asked by the judge if he’s been to school within 18 months, tell him to be real vague and just say i’m not sure how long ago it was.

I got the same in Lancaster. I also had one earlier that year in Tonawanda. I spoke with the DA in Lancaster and he fucked me over. Wouldn’t reduce it, I paid full boat and got the points.

Edit: And it wasn’t even me! Thanks BadAzz!!! You suck! lol

plea not guilty anyway…the worst they are gonna do is not reduce it for ya

Why speed through a parking lot? Thats just stupid anyway.

I got one of those and unsafe start…

Imprudent speed was a point…and a small fine…in cheektowaga.

yup.

You can fight it if you want. They can’t really enforce speed limits on private property, and I am assuming that the parking lot is owned privately.

Imprudent speed. At a rate of speed greater than reasonable or proper under the surrounding circumstances provided.

Whether there is a speed limit or not isn’t important. It is the cops judgement if it was safe to go the speed he was.

u can’t really fight it (unless u have a lawyer who knows everyone), and it’s really not worth it. i think i’ve had tickets in basically every town/city around WNY… just go to court, talk to either the prosecutor or DA, and they will advise. 95% of the time they will tell u exactly what they will reduce it to, how to plead, etc. just tell him/her where it happened, that the speed wasn’t that fast, and don’t admit to going to school before. just MAKE SURE a different school is picked… after awhile, ECC/NCCC locations started keeping track of who attended, as well as a few others. if you signup at one of them after you had already gone, they notify the court and you have to take all the points and the big fine.

side note: when there used to be a driving school option held at kenmore mercy years ago, i went to that one at least 4, if not 5 or 6 times. i think that one has since dried up, probably once the state realized that people were abusing it. it was nice though, tons of breaks, not much talking, and some sweet gory videos!

Yeah, but I can speed on my own property all I want. I don’t even need a driver’s license for it. Private property = no rules.

i thot lancaster was was notorious for raping speeders

im trying to be good today but its hard
