In 2014 I did the following (Poll) automotive things

this should be interesting

Worst thread ever

No poll

ok, it’s up.

Other: Realized cars are really low on my list of hobbies/priorities now.

you forgot my favorite one; “posed car for pictures”

Is hitting the drag strip a “track day”?

none of it

got a pretty badass boat with a gm pushrod motor though, does that count for anything?

damn it, drag strip was the obvious one I missed, and I even did it.

if a mod sees this please add.

I already voted track day. The road there had some turns and then I just went a lil quicker on the straights. Close enough

Other.

I bought a Volvo. Need I say more?

And we all know Swedes hate cars so. Yeah.

I’d add but people have already voted. “Track Day” should be good enough though.

And my accident was involving a deer so I included that, lol.

+1

(Ironically, selling them is one of my highest priorities)

I totally forgot about totaling my TDI on a dear oops

I also went Off-roading I know thats not really car related but its enthusiast related i think…

Cars are still a huge part of my life, just in a totally different way than before…

Other: Sold my snowmobile (Does this count?)
Sold my car, bought a new truck
Bought a new van for my business

2014 has been the year of many motorcycles for me. e-brake cables, front wheel bearing, and rear trailing arm bushing all went bad on my focus so I barely drove it.

I love cars as much as ever. Especially in dept builds that require some in planning and fab work. I probably post 50% of the parts I make at best :frowning:

Oh and drag racing. Drag racing is the shit. It is the most redneck thing in the world and I don’t care. ha!

What I have found though is that I don’t really care for car shows and meets as much as I used to. I like them but only at a low frequency. 2-3 a year is plenty.

I’m not clicking the street race button…:snky:. I did get pulled over but I didn’t get a ticket. He commented on the cage, called the car “serious” and took my license. His fellow cop friend showed up, asked me if I liked Carly Rae Jepson or the Italian Job. I told him I liked both of them and then they let me go.

Same here on the car shows and meets. I used to go tons of them. I’ve seen so many nice musclecars that I don’t even bat an eye anymore. I’ll hit a few of the big shows. I would suggest going to the oddball regional show that they have in UB. You’ll see PERFECT model t’s, 1890 cars, steam cars, old electric cars, and just weird shit that you won’t see at a cruise night.

That sounds sweet. Yeah I need to look into more of these events. I really liked the one I went to at canalside too.
