I just put the pioneer appradio2 unit in my car with a jailbroken iphone and downgraded to appradio version 1.8.2 to unleash this units capabilities!
With my phone mounted to the dash i can facetime, text/type threw the 7" screen, facebook, check weather, youtube, play angry birds or use the coolest apps available all threw the head unit. Heck spend $50 and you can get an OBDII cord to your iphone and see all your cars sensors in real time. Many many more features available as well.
In your case bing mount your iphone or ipod to the wind shield with one of those suction cup phone holders and you can activate the camera to turn on threw the 7" monitor. In the pits you can watch your video then upload it to facebook right off your cars screen. Its so simple and clean.
i wouldnt want an iphone sitting on my dash all the time… i’ve never had an iphone or ipod in fact
it’s something i would want to leave in the car full-time.

Yeah I have one of the top model blackvue set ups in my bmw and it’s been great.
WiFi enabled though I don’t have an iphone to really take advantage. I put a 64gb card in it and it loops a couple weeks in there.
Motion sensitive and it even records sound.
I took the original memory card and put it in an old blackberry for my kid to play with and he had all the videos from my car and there were all kinds of videos of me listening to loud music and then taking phone calls with full audio…
This seems like a good site for reviews. These people take their cams seriously over in russia. I think i like this one for the price and form factor.

I currently have this model. I had an event that I wanted video of, went to pull it and the 3 minute section with the event was gone while everything else was still there. I have no idea why it did this.
This is mine, and it’s excellent in all respects.
You guys like having the GPS? Is there a way to turn it off? I don’t want to put my tinfoil hat on but I’m not a fan of being tracked.
It’s not connected to the internet so I wouldn’t worry. You should be more worried about your ezpass (literally).
