Independent Health is hiring (updated with moar)

lol… there are plenty of jobs out there but they just aren’t posted all over monster.com

go out and network with people, start using the CRC at ub.

i’ve never gotten a job through standard means (i.e. resume dropping through job sites), it’s all about knowing people and getting recommendations.

^^ and head

shit for a bolw job or 7 I can get someone a job

At what point in your schooling did they say that having just a high school diploma is good enough for the business world? Didnt you ever watch the videos that said like people who have college degrees on average make like more than twice as much over the course of their life or something like that.

There is a lot out there in Buffalo but I just don’t think Finance is a blooming industry right now

x2 to the CRC. Has a lot of postings. I used to go through Monster and CRC and other online resources and look who was hiring and then contact the company directly. Its how I got my job right out of school and worked for a few other people.

I cant wait to graduate college and take a pay cut. slams head

For damn sake, even Delta Sonic employees make 18-20/hr with tips!

It just amazes me that they require college degrees and only pay $12/hr.

you guys really have no idea do you

When you have a job market of desperate people looking for any job, they can now require a college degree.

they were doing it before the job market tanked.

Until the job market gets better and all of the people they hired(and trained) quit.
Hiring over qualified people can be a double edged sword.

this job is also the only one in the company that requires you to stay for one year before posting out …

Yup, supply and demand.
The issue here is the cost of education needs to adjust.
They can’t expect people to come out of school with a nice sized student loan to pay off and live off $12 an hour. Just not reasonable the way this economy is working out.

Inflation and reduction in our spending power will seemingly always will be an issue since the government wont let free market run itself. $12 an hour…yeah that doesn’t go very far with todays cost of living and $3 per gallon gas. When $12 per hour was inline with the economy we had gas at like $1 a gallon. This was probably about 1998 if I recall correctly. Man I wish I’d been interested in the market back in Y2K so I’d have some recession experience under my belt.

Part and parcel with the market tanking. I mean if they reduce earning capacity and devastate employment in the country leaving assloads of people unemployed there will be defaults and market contraction. It’s all part of the cycle. I know a builder/construction guy that isn’t seeing improvement yet. I think that’s a good indication that the 9k dow isn’t likely to be upheld. We’ll see.

It’s NASTY out there.

HOLY FUCK … STARTING $12.60 … thats not what you will get paid … if you can sell yourself well you may get 15.60 hr or more …FUCK… puls the lowcost health insurance (under $10 a month for the best plan we offer) thats like $3ish a hour to add in on your pay

If I was making $12/hr, had student loan payments and lived on my own in an apartment I wouldn’t even have enough money left over to eat mac and cheese for every meal.

I would love not to pay as much as I do for health insurance.

then you have shity money mangment skills or need to look at your assets and find out what you really need and dont need to live … k thanks

^^^^^What is the connection between the DOW “industrial” average and construction?

sorry, don’t mean to start an argument. I know I am just a little frustrated because I am going into my senior year of college and making more than that doing blue collar, unskilled work. I am not looking forward to graduating and finding a job that downgrades my income.

then you have shity money mangment skills or need to look at your assets and find out what you really need and dont need to live … k thanks

I actually live on a strict budget.

you still fucking suck
