The place I work for is looking to hire a couple industrial technicians / mechanics. It is a food processing plant located in the Lancaster area.
Daily duties will include completing PM’s and Work Orders and catering to production line calls. Rebuilding motors, gearboxes, cylinders, assisting with pipe hookups, running electrical / conduit, assorted machining and welding, machine adjustments, oil changes, are all common tasks - as to be expected in the industrial maintenance field. There is opportunity to join process improvement teams and to get involved with long term rewarding projects.
The department works three 8-hour shits per day, 5 days a week. Each shift has 3-4 mechanics. The openings currently will likely lead to 2nd or 3rd shift.
Requirements:
-Working knowledge with 480v electric
-Experience within a food processing facility
-Basic machining ability - lathe, press
-TIG welding experience
-Background knowledge in PLC’s and process controls
-4 years in an industrial maintenance position
-willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shift
-strong mechanical ability
-strong troubleshooting ability
