The car is a 1993 240sx with a ka24de. Driving home from work yesturday and boom, out of no where the car started to bogg out. loss of power and misfiring like a bitch. Misfiring so harshly that the car completely stalled on its own a couple times. And the smell of raw fuel filled the cabin. Also lots of smoke out of the exhaust. Here’s what i did. I checked all spark plugs> Plug number three was soaked with fuel. Checked spark, and compression. Both checked out perfect. Checked the injectors by first starting the car and unplugging them one at a time. Idle dropped with everyone I unplugged except injector 3. So I know injector three was fucked. Hooked up a light to injector three and the light stayed on. Where as with every other injector, the light would pulse as the motor goes through its cycle. So i know that injector number three was firing allll the fucking time. cut the green(ground) wire and wired a new wire from injector to my ecu, just to see if there was a short in the wire somewhere. Problem still continued. So i came to the conclusion my ecu was fucked. Put in a new ecu and the shit ran minty fresh. Until today, turned it on and the bitch mutha fucka was misfiring again. unplugged inj. 3 and no change in idle…the dumb hoe ass injector wont turn off again…so im guessing somethings shorting out the ecu…planning on ripping the entire wiring harness apart, but i made this thread to see if any of you SONers would have any suggestions on what could be the problem and what i could/should do. I’m still learning in terms of fixing cars so im sure i may have missed something. any help would be more then appreciated
worst brah. try to swap injectors…the the injector it self is fucked
basically same thing happened to me, i gotta swap the injectors too. im gonna do the fpr just in case as well.
really? the injector it self could cause this? cuz after i swapped ecu’s the car worked fine. Until i started it this evening. Then it went to shit again…

aslo, are there any seals that i have to worry about breaking when removing the injector in a ka?
maybe o rings on the injectors, if you want i have stock ka injectors.
if the orings are still in ok condition…warm them up wtih a heat gun, not hot but warm. put a little vasiline on the oring and install. trust
ended up ordering a new injector and changing plugs. turned out the injector was stuck open for so long it got fucked up. so ecu is fine. u guys were right. thnx a lot again eh! appreciaate the help more then u kno. thumbs up
