insane JGTC crash

i cant believe they both walked away

sigh, its been on every auto forum for the past two weeks.

its been posted like 4 times at zilvia. i can’t take it any more. uuuuugh.

and the people that post on big-boys, except for the rare few, are all morons and racists.

has it been posted here before?

no

im sorry but im trying to forget what happened in that video.

its just wrenching. and everytime i hear reference to it i think of the video again.

there is an aftermath video to this aswell, which is indescrible. the aftermath video tops it off for me. the fustration at the way the safety service conducted itself angers me to no end.

i saw that aswell. chose not to post it as i was very disturbed by it

thanks.

wise choice my friend.

let people who want to watch the aftermath video seek it.

he recently won a settlement. there is also a report on it and why it happened. its on zilvia. ill let someone else dig it up.

ae yo sure thats jgtc? i ssaw a porsche bmw and a ferrari 360 modena, and ive never seen an e36 bmw in any jgtcrace ive ever watched

that is deffiantly not the worst crash ive seen

pretty big plosion tho!

GT

the car that wasn`t blown to smitherines, we saw that guy get out of his car…barley.

what about the enferno that kept puttinalong, i didnt see anyone get out of that. :?

it happened awhile ago. 1998. it was a jgtc race.

I didn’t realize they had 360 Modenas in 1998.

edit: Guess it must have been a different Ferrari? Sorry. I looked it up and it did happen in 1998. Guess it musta been a 550.
edit#2: its an F355 . Just saw the aftermath video… holy fcking sht… that was very painful to watch. Actions of the marshals was just horrible.

Also, Tetsuya Ota won a settlement but not the full amount sought. The courts said, since this happened under yellow, that he was driving too fast for conditions.

yeah, this crash is really scary, im glad no one was killed.

he was in teh car that caught fire for like 50 seconds or so.

there was some regulation that crews would be on site to assist any one in an accident in much less time than that, i believe that was the basis for his suit.

Yes, iirc they were supposed to arrive quicker, he won the lawsuit against the event organizers and the t.v. station covering it as well and got $800,000 ish since it ended his career.

Sheeeow! First time seeing that! So the guy in the flaming wreck survived?

yes.

and that wasn’t evena caution lap it was the warm up lap before the race.

he was said to be one of best ferrari drivers in japan at the time.

Daaaaaamn!!! that is krazy!!!

awww but what happend to the other driver :frowning: …he never got out
